RouteMapper Travel is a small, installable app whose only job is following a roadbook on the road, trail, or track. It’s a separate, lightweight build of RouteMapper’s Travel Mode reader, hosted at go.routemapper.net — no sign-in, no recording tools, no editor. Load a roadbook and go.
If you record stages yourself, you may never need this app — the same reader lives inside the main app at app.routemapper.net/travel. RouteMapper Travel exists for everyone else: a co-driver, a tour participant, or anyone who’s been handed a roadbook and just needs to follow it.

What’s different about this app
- No sign-in. Everything here works as a guest. There’s no account, no cloud sync, and no Stripe plan limits — load a file and follow it.
- Much smaller download than the full editor (roughly a quarter of the size), because it doesn’t carry the recording, billing, or review code.
- Same reader. Auto-advance, distance countdown, voice readout, and DOCX overlay all work identically to the in-app Travel tab — it’s the same component, just in its own shell.
- Adds the Route Library — a free catalogue of routes shared by other users, browsable right from the load screen (see below).
Quick Start
- Open go.routemapper.net in your browser.
- Tap 📂 Load roadbook (ZIP or JSON) and choose a RouteMapper export ZIP, or a bare
stage.json.
- Mount your device where you can see and reach it.
- If you want spoken turn-by-turn readout, tap the 🔊 button once (this primes voice on iOS — see Voice readout).
- Start moving — the roadbook advances itself as you pass each waypoint.
